Weekly Judgment Roundup


Irish debts amounting to nearly €4m were pursued in the Irish Courts this week.

This comprised of 20 Commercial Judgments totaling €266,000 and 101 Consumer Judgments totaling €3.7m.

The largest commercial judgment was taken by a Swedish Plaintiff namely Aroslunden AB, Sweden. They succeeded in registering a €50,000 judgment against Juli Lifting Europe Ltd.

The largest consumer judgment was taken by Lombard Ireland Limited against Thomas Ryan of 2, Sandymount Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 for €767,865.

Credit Unions took 17 of their customers to courts for non-payment of debts amounting to €233,702. 23% of which are being actively paid by the members.

The largest judgment was taken by Bray Credit Union against member Raymond Thompson of Wayside, Quinn's Road, Shankill, County Dublin.

The smallest was taken by Duleek Credit Union for €1,511.41.
