The latest issue of StubbsGazette details the 124 Irish debtors who were pursued in the Courts this week for bad debts totaling over €13m. This comprised of 25 Commercial Judgments and 99 Consumer Judgments.
The largest consumer judgment was taken by Danske Bank against John Meagher of Milltown, Ashbourne, County Meath for €6,984,826.48. The largest commercial judgment was taken by the Collector General. They succeeded in registering a €57,000 judgment against The Lough Inn Limited.
The smallest judgment was for €424 and was taken by Rehab Lotteries Limited, Dublin.
Credit Unions The Credit Unions took their members to the courts for unpaid loans amounting to nearly €200,000. Roscrea Credit Union registered the top judgment of €70,128 against two individuals making them jointly and severally liable for the debt. Another high value judgment, €65,000, was awarded in favour of Lisduggan District Credit Union Ltd in Waterford.
NRA The National Roads Authority were one of the most active plaintiffs this week and were awarded judgments in 23 separate cases for bad debts amounting to nearly €100,000 in total.
